I've just seen the YouTube video for Elettrochoc and that female vocalist is very striking! The song itself strikes me as being a poppier version of Kraftwerk fare. It just has that urgency in its beat. Looking forward to the rest of the songs.J-Canuckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09551828383307840403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2501670448657416824.post-55060088775128243912015-11-02T12:38:36.519-05:002015-11-02T12:38:36.519-05:00I'm Italian, Matia Bazar were one of our great...I'm Italian, Matia Bazar were one of our greatest bands back in the day :)

Here's my favourite songs:
Elettrochoc (1983) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWeDiRkXgyI [such a crazy electro-pop song, I love it]

Vacanze romane (1983) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zU8p_L-T9Y [a no. 2 hit, it is still one of the most popular italian songs of the Eighties]

Fantasia (1981) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXWzNx0uOLM [their first new wave song, dark and beautiful, not so popular]

Cavallo bianco (1976) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D25DecwUG5Q [from their progressive pop phase, it didn't chart well at the time, but today it is considered a classic of Italian music]Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
