Opinions apart, I listened to the album once more and concluded that its sound was influenced by house (house music took Europe by storm in the early 90s burying the old italo sound that helped shaping Wink's late 80s material).

About other artists doing this type of thing, I just could remember of Kyoko Koizumi's 1989 album, "KOIZUMI IN THE HOUSE", and Miho Nakayama's two remix albums, "Makin' Dancin'" (1988) and "DANCE BOX" (1991). But I'm not very expert about house, so I'm sorry I couldn't give you better options. About the ones I talked above, maybe Kyoko Koizumi's album is the best option for you. She was quite a versatile idol.Marcos V.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09531398685057099974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2501670448657416824.post-76265806806992388232014-01-26T15:05:41.171-05:002014-01-26T15:05:41.171-05:00I personally like their remix version of this song...I personally like their remix version of this song (just started listening to it). The best Wink Song in my opinion has to be the remix of New Moon ni Aimashou (Diamond Box) and Special to Me. I really like the sounds in Diamond Box. Wish Wink made more songs with that kind of style. It's definitely got that early 90s dance sound (some of the songs anyways). Are there any artists that have that kind of sound? I'm just itching to find more.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2501670448657416824.post-90170232352171156512013-03-09T21:37:39.730-05:002013-03-09T21:37:39.730-05:00Hi, J-Canuck.

"Kitto Atsui Kuchibiru ~Remain~" is in the second one, while the third started in 1993, with the single "Kekkon Shiyou Ne". In this third phase, they were kind of lost musically and aesthetically speaking. They were shooting in all directions, which resulted in the "new-eurobeat-styled" "JIVE INTO THE NIGHT ~Yaban na Yoru ni~ (HYPER EURO MIX)", released in 1995. But that's just a personal opinion, of course. It would be lovely to see them reunite and perform this and their other classics again in a concert.

I've read somewhere that this song was specially liked by Shoko and Sachiko. Don't know the veracity of this, but it can be true. Who knows.Marcos V.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09531398685057099974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2501670448657416824.post-88911522140639364182013-03-04T02:36:24.051-05:002013-03-04T02:36:24.051-05:00Thanks Marcos V for this awesome post on WINK'...Thanks Marcos V for this awesome post on WINK's 「きっと熱いくちびる 〜リメイン〜」 I definitely agree that this is one of their better songs and it has a infectious techno-style beat and hook. The video is very hypnotic at points and yet kawaii as well. J-Wiki mentions that the B-Side to this single was 「奇跡のモニュメント」 which was also pretty good but sounded more in-line with their 80s stuff.JTMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05254345826668658358noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2501670448657416824.post-35234445909812294332013-03-01T19:55:54.364-05:002013-03-01T19:55:54.364-05:00In Wink compilation sleeve notes the producers dis...In Wink compilation sleeve notes the producers discussed about this track and compared the musical landscape to crystal castle. They decided that this track must be revaluated. To me it is the ultimate Wink track that has stood the test of time. jari lehtinennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2501670448657416824.post-25253728271566170742013-02-26T23:28:29.047-05:002013-02-26T23:28:29.047-05:00Hi, Marcos V. It's been a number of years since I last heard it, although I remember at the time it came out, it got a lot of heavy rotation all over the networks. I hadn't noticed it at the time, but yes, I think with this song there was a slight difference in the sound. There wasn't that usual Eurobeat synthesizer that had accompanied the arrangement as was the case with their hits like "Special to Me" or "Samishii Nettaigyo". There was a bit more of an ethereal quality to "Kitto Atsui Kuchibiru". And as you pointed out, there was some more of a "come hither" look to the ladies compared to the "porcelain doll" poses that they had mastered in the songs preceding this one. Things were changing for them.J-Canuckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09551828383307840403noreply@blogger.com
