All I gotta say is that Naomi Kawashima's(川島なお美)March 1985 6th album "SCOOOP!" has got one of the great covers. It's done up like some sort of photography magazine right down to the different sizes and fonts as if each track looks like a featured article within the pages. Plus of course, the gorgeous Ms. Kawashima is right on the cover with her own camera. Also, one other observation is that those 1980s producers really liked to throw in the triple vowels into female City Pop singers' album titles. You can check out Anri(杏里)for that.
Regardless, I'd like to focus on the final track on "SCOOOP!", "Please Mr. Information". Written by the singer and composed/arranged by Etsuko Yamakawa(山川恵津子), as soon as I read that Yamakawa was in the credits, I just had to listen to this. Once again, I wasn't disappointed. It's a pretty laidback and a-couple-of-fingers-of-Old-Parr-friendly City Pop tune thanks to Kawashima's whispery vocals and those Fender Rhodes tones. It's just the melodic tonic for a Friday after work and simply hitting the couch for some relaxation.

From the looks of it, she had a medium-format camera, too! And, at a time when many where pushing the small 35mm SLR cameras.
