Just for Fun...The J-C AI Gallery -- Akira, Hiroko & YMO
I wonder if the title cosmic surfing was inspired by the 'sliver surfer' comic book character? The youtube video seems to have a level up version of Hiroko Yakushimaru's セーラー服と機関銃! Looks or rather is sounds like there are a few other voices with her.
According to the commentary for the song on J-Wiki, Haruomi Hosono had wanted to put his take on a Ventures song through the technopop filter. Those first two albums of theirs seemed to do that with exotica, surf rock and disco among other genres.
