Oricon Top 10 Singles for July 1981

Well, looking at the fact that I have a little less than 25 minutes before I get to talk with an old friend and then hit the hay after becoming exhausted from doing that Creator article, I figure that perhaps I can make up a quick Oricon Rankings display. The second article that I ever did for "Kayo Kyoku Plus" was the Top 5 singles for August 1981, but I never made one for July 1981, the month that I was in Japan for my summer graduation trip.

1.  Chiharu Matsuyama          Nagai Yoru
2.  Masahiko Kondo               Blue Jeans Memory
3.  Toshihiko Tahara               Kimi ni Kettei!
4.  Chanels                              Hurricane
5.  Yokohama Ginbae             Kattobi Rock n' Roll
6.  Hiromi Iwasaki                  Sumire no Namida
7.  Naoko Kawai                     Smile For Me
8.  Off-Course                         I Love You
9.  Jun Horie                           Memory Glass
10.  Yuko Ishikawa                 Cinderella Summer

    1. Morning, Michael. Thanks for the list. I'll check them out. No need to convince me of Blue Peppers...love their stuff.

  2. Yeah, Blue Peppers are very good. That particular song from their debut EP is still my favorite song of theirs.
