"Roppongi Junjouha" was released in October 1986, and written by Masao Urino(売野雅勇) who had provided the lyrics to Jun'ichi Inagaki's(稲垣潤一) hit "Natsu no Claxon"(夏のクラックション)a few years earlier, and composed by Akihiro Yoshimi(吉実明宏). Oginome's 10th single managed to peak at No. 3 and became the 36th-ranked single of 1987. The song also got Oginome her 2nd appearance at the Kohaku.
I've been a fan of Japanese popular music for 40 years, and have managed to collect a lot of material during that time. So I decided I wanted to talk about Showa Era music with like-minded fans. My particular era is the 70s and 80s (thus the "kayo kyoku"). The plus part includes a number of songs and artists from the last 30 years and also the early kayo. So, let's talk about New Music, aidoru, City Pop and enka.
