The veterans of Nakajima and Matsutoya are right there in the middle with the latter's "Hello, My Friend"becoming one of her later classics, with the relative veteran of B'z just above them. However, the list showed what would be the advent of the Tetsuya Komuro wave of pop/dance music with Shinohara's theme for the "Street Fighter"movie and trf's big hits. In addition, there were the singers of my early years in Ichikawa, high-voiced Kohmi Hirose and somewhat more gravelly Maki Ohguro. But right at the top was one of the most popular J-Pop bands going into the 21st-century, Mr. Children...and I have yet to talk about any of their music. Time to rectify that situation.
