As was the case with "Wakare no Machi"(別れの街), Oda wrote and composed "First Love", a song that sounds like it was meant to be played as background music for a drive through the Tokyo quarters of Akasaka, Roppongi and Ginza. The Oda synths and guitar are in there along with some background contribution by the man himself, and maybe even some help from Sing Like Talking's Chikuzen Sato(佐藤竹善). But the thing that sells it is Suzuki's soulful voice. I can imagine Oda covering this, but I think Martin owns this song.
I've been a fan of Japanese popular music for 40 years, and have managed to collect a lot of material during that time. So I decided I wanted to talk about Showa Era music with like-minded fans. My particular era is the 70s and 80s (thus the "kayo kyoku"). The plus part includes a number of songs and artists from the last 30 years and also the early kayo. So, let's talk about New Music, aidoru, City Pop and enka.

Masayuki Suzuki -- First Love
