I've been a fan of Japanese popular music for 40 years, and have managed to collect a lot of material during that time. So I decided I wanted to talk about Showa Era music with like-minded fans. My particular era is the 70s and 80s (thus the "kayo kyoku"). The plus part includes a number of songs and artists from the last 30 years and also the early kayo. So, let's talk about New Music, aidoru, City Pop and enka.

Announcement: Blogger Issues
Hello, "Kayo Kyoku Plus" readers! J-Canuck here. Hopefully, you have been enjoying the wind-up toward the annual Holiday festivities, instead of getting frustrated with blog access issues. Believe me, it's always good to get out there and get some fresh air while trying not to fall into any brawls in the shopping malls (unless you're into that sort of thing...).
Ahhh...as for those access issues, I'm not sure about the readers but some of us collaborators on KKP have had some problems viewing and even posting articles here over the last 24 hours for some reason or other. It's the first time that I've ever experienced this situation and though it's not too fun, I'm hoping that it's a temporary Blogger issue. It seems like at least one other person on Blogger may be going through the same thing. Anyways, I've forwarded the issue to the relevant administrators and I'm praying that things get sorted out in the next day or so.
In the meantime, listen to that J-Pop album, get some hot chocolate and make merry with your friends.
