Thus far, the Mebae Miyahara(宮原芽映)file on KKP is a short one. I have one article for her as a singer as she recorded the City Pop "Milky Cat" in 1981. Then, there's the one other article as a songwriter under the pseudonym Yu Kayano(茅野遊)when she wrote the lyrics to Hiroko Mita's(三田寛子)"Hatachi no Mae de"(20才の前で)in 1984.
Well, I'm upending the balance here with Miyahara the singer once more. From her November 1986 album, "Port・fo・lio", I give you her "Mukashi Mitai" (Like the Old Days). Written by Miyahara (sans pseudonym) and composed by VOGUE, there seems to be an undercurrent of very light reggae over which is a melody of artsy pop and Miyahara's even floatier vocals. It's quite the tropically heady song and it reminds me a tad of the stylings of Taeko Ohnuki(大貫妙子)and Akiko Yano(矢野顕子).

I’m so glad to see you’re still posting. One of the best finds in the whole internet
