Misato Miira -- Meramera Mousou(めらめら妄想)

Well, let's see. In the world of contemporary aidoru, thanks to experts Marcos V. and Joana, I've been able to encounter aidoru who have tangled with heavy metal and 80s synthpop. Now, although it's just been the one shot here, I may have come across an aidoru who has a thing for old-time jazz.

Misato Miira(木乃伊みさと)hails from Saitama Prefecture and started out in 2014 as the leader of the aidoru trio drop before graduating in 2017. Afterwards, she formed another aidoru group, Wyenra (ゑんら), with another former drop member, Hikari Takiguchi(滝口ひかり), and Takiguchi's younger sister, Kirara(滝口きらら). The aforementioned Joana put up an article regarding an album recorded by Wyenra, "UKIYO", back in May 2020.

However, Miira has also done some solo work including a mini-album from last July called "Amai Umi"(甘い海...The Sweet Ocean) which includes the track "Meramera Mousou" (Blinding Delusion). With lyrics by the singer and melody/arrangement by Kei Okubo(おおくぼけい), the song and the accompanying music video bring on the old-fashioned feelings as Miira sings about possibly losing that one ideal guy and going into conniptions over the mistake. I would have just labeled "Meramera Mousou" as just appealingly hopping bohemian jazz along the lines of Ego-Wrappin' so I was surprised to see that the singer was indeed an aidoru. Her sweetly squeaky vocals also fit the old-style jazz and I'm never going to turn down a cooking wood bass, tight drum and piano, and horn section.
