Yuuko Iwasaki (aka Yuuho Iwasato) -- Subete Omakase(すべておまかせ)

I mentioned before that songwriter Yuuho Iwasato(岩里祐穂)had once been known as singer-songwriter Yuuko Iwasaki(いわさきゆうこ)with her brand of music floating in the AOR and City Pop fields. The last time I wrote about her singing phase was via her 1980 album "Magical Liqueur"(マジカル・リキュール), specifically the track "One Night".

Well, we're back to "Magical Liqueur" and this time, we're gonna look at the first track "Subete Omakase" (Leave It All To Me) which was written and composed by Iwasaki. It's a good-time tune with the hint of tropical punch during the laziest days of a weeklong cruise. Love the guitar solos, both acoustic and electric, and there's something with the flute and overall arrangement that hints at the type of urban contemporary from a few years earlier. More 70s City Pop than 80s.

Overall, I think "Subete Omakase" has the effect of a nice alcohol buzz...either that punch or a margarita. It won't knock you out onto the deck chair for the next several hours but it'll keep you happy and pliable for good conversation.
