Hidemi Ishikawa -- Hito Natsu no Dekigoto(ひと夏の出来事)

Happy weekend! It certainly feels like summer is coming to our home and native land...should be hitting 23 degrees Celsius today, the highest temperature so far in Toronto this year and I've already turned on my fan behind me. 80s aidoru Hidemi Ishikawa(石川秀美)has the right idea...it's time for fishing.

Under the circumstances, although summer is officially still 5 weeks away, I think with how warm and sunny things are out there, perhaps we can jump the gun and proceed with a summery aidoru tune by Ishikawa called "Hito Natsu no Dekigoto" (One Summer Happening). This is a track from her debut album "Fairy"(妖精)released in September 1982, and it was composed by the late Yuuichiro Oda(小田裕一郎)and written by Jun Kuroe(クロエジュン). Kuroe just happened to be Oda's pen name when he had his lyricist's cap on.

Well, when it comes to Ishikawa's vocals...well...she does sound like a newbie aidoru.😏 However having said that, she is surrounded by a pretty funky and perhaps hybrid beat in that it has that bit of City Pop (although not quite enough for me to categorize it as so) and somewhat more of an appealing technopop sheen. The synthesizers are the thing that has had me enjoying "Hito Natsu no Dekigoto" more than I should.
