Yui Horie -- Black or White?

Some years back, I wrote about "Poker Face"(ポーカーフェイス), the genki ending theme for the quirky 2013 anime "Miss Monochrome"(ミス・モノクローム). To be specific, the song was the ender for the first season whose episodes only came in at 5 minutes each but they all featured the adorkable title character played by seiyuu and singer Yui Horie(堀江由衣)and her pet vacuum cleaner Ruu-chan in some strange situations to become a winning artificial aidoru pop star.

In 2015, Seasons 2 and 3 of "Miss Monochrome" arrived in short order. Both seasons had their episodes lengthened to a whopping 10 minutes each but my anime buddy and I agreed that some of that fun flavour from the first season thinned out for some reason. Ah, well.

However, I did like the opening theme which was the same for Seasons 2 and 3. Titled "Black or White?", again it was Horie in her robotic voice taking care of things. The genkiness was sacrificed for some cool suspense in the song written and composed by Ryuujin Kiyoshi(清竜人).

I think I like the full version even better with the instruments going on full charge here. Miss Monochrome is challenging her paramour to make a final decision on the relationship. Although she will stand by his side if wanted, she has to know whether she is indeed wanted.

I read one comment on YouTube about if Miss Monochrome got her 15 minutes (or 5~10) on TV, when would Miku Hatsune(初音ミク)get her spotlight on the telly. It's interesting since both Horie and the seiyuu behind Hatsune, Saki Fujita(藤田咲), have both gone on to become PreCures in their respective shows in the franchise.
