My first article, back in 2017, on the late singer Kumiko Hara(原久美子)was for her "Magic Night" which came out in 1978 as a track on her second album "Neppu"(熱風...Tropical Wind).
I also mentioned about her debut album from 1977, "No Smoking". Well, I'm happy to say that I finally found a track from that first release, "Chotto Senobi wo" (Stretching Out a Bit). I'm not sure whether I would be inspired to do some Pilates according to this song, but this three-and-a-half minute Latin-infused jazzy scat fest is a pleasant late afternoon listen while out on the Lido Deck of a cruise ship. Toru Hirano(平野融)was responsible for the melody.

This song would not sound out of place on Lupin the 3rd sound track!
ReplyDeleteYes, jazz was a very welcome genre in the world of Lupin the 3rd.
