Makoto Saito（斎藤誠）was always going for AOR as a form of adult rock. "Aru Gray na Koi no Baai" (The Case of a Certain Gray Love) is a tune representative of his Michael McDonald period right down to the album cover with the song's composition and sound obviously emulating the McDonald style including the breathy singing. It's not so much blue-eyed soul but yellow-skinned soul. Make the goatee a little thicker though, eh?
