I couldn't find an original complete version of Misato Watanabe's（渡辺美里） fun "Christmas Made Matenai" (Can't Wait Til Christmas) on YouTube, but since it is one of my favourite Japanese Xmas tunes I kept on pressing until I found this cover version by the 90s aidoru group, deeps. This 1998 version is plenty fun as well but nothing beats the original song with a bit of that Phil Spector sound. That version was a track on Misato's 1991 album, "Lucky".
The lyrics were by Misato and composition was by Hiromasa Ijichi（伊秩弘将).Ijichi would later compose a number of hits by the very popular group, Speed, and also later on, deeps. The song just evokes that giddy feeling on Xmas Eve for a lot of kids as they have to get through that last sleep before waking up and hitting those presents under the tree.
