Hiromi Koide -- Taboo (タブー)

It might just be my imagination, but I have thought that there were a certain number of composers who liked to infuse some of the aidoru tunes with a bit of tango or some sort of European or South American dance rhythm in the early 80s. Hiromi Koide's(小出広美) "Taboo" was one example. The song has popped up into my memories from time to time since I had first heard it on "Sounds of Japan" all those years ago. "Taboo" is the only song I know by her; she had a pretty short career as an aidoru...only from 1981 to 1984 before she entered a longer period as a pinup idol. Written by Yu Aku(阿久悠) and composed by Daisuke Inoue(井上大輔), it was her first of only 5 singles, with only several hundred copies of her final single seeing the light of day. Supposedly, some of them may be out there in the old/used music shops asking for some hefty prices.
