"How do you feel?" Whenever I hear that question anywhere, my memories always dig up that early scene in "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home" when reborn Spock is testing himself and then gets floored by that simple question.
Now, I may have another example of pop culture to attach to that question. Yogee New Waves' Kengo Kakudate(角舘健悟)created this song "How Do You Feel?" for the band's 2nd album "Waves" from May 2017. In the first few articles in which I've focused on their discography, I've noticed that YNW has dabbled into a number of genres such as Neo-City Pop, reggae and pop. Well, with "How Do You Feel?", it's a bit of indies pop and rock as Kakudate sings a story that may be about a couple of friends who have been recently parted due to some kind of circumstance...one in Japan, the other in the United States perhaps. And in a case of absence making the heart grow fonder, the one person realizes that they may want to go from "a couple of friends" to "a couple". How do you feel, indeed. As for "Waves", the album peaked at No. 19 on Oricon.
