Taeko Ohnuki -- Kami Hikouki no Love Letter(紙ヒコーキのラブレター)

It's been a little cooler than usual for an August day so heading outside earlier, it did feel rather fresh out there. Not that I'm complaining any...I kinda prefer it that way compared to walking and swimming in steamy atmosphere.

That's the same way I feel about Taeko Ohnuki's(大貫妙子)"Kami Hikouki no Love Letter" (Paper Airplane Love Letter), a track from her 15th studio album, the September 1993 "Shooting star in the blue sky". It's a nice and breezy song which is totally angst-free about a woman who shoots off that titular plane composed of her love letter in the hopes that it can somehow reach the target of her affections. Most likely, the lucky person would have to be in the same backyard, but let's not allow any logistics get in the way of true love.

Of course, Ohnuki wrote and composed the song while Takeshi Kobayashi(小林武史)arranged it. The album peaked at No. 42 on Oricon.
