All these years, multi-instrumentalist Nobuyuki Shimizu(清水信之)has been up on "Kayo Kyoku Plus" due to his masterful arrangements for songs that I've enjoyed listening to such as Junichi Inagaki's(稲垣潤一)Xmas classic "Christmas Carol no Koro ni wa"(クリスマスキャロルの頃には), Junko Ohashi's(大橋純子)sophisti-pop number "Nemurenai Diamond" (眠れないダイアモンド)and also SMAP's hit "Celery"(セロリ). Yup, he's got a long line of clients in his arranging career.
However, as I said off the top, he is also a musician who can play a number of instruments with the keyboards probably being his main tool, but according to J-Wiki, he can also handle the guitar, bass and drums. So I'm happy to finally include him here with his own name on the byline this time instead of just hanging out in Labels and the main text.
Shimizu only released two of his own albums in his playing career: "Corner Top" in 1980 and "Anything Goes" in 1982. From that first album, I give you "Silver Spot", a funky City Pop track created by Shimizu with EPO providing some fairly ghostly lyrics and vocals. Considering his prowess on several instruments, I wouldn't be surprised if he were handling most of them here. Speaking of EPO, Shimizu also helped out on a few of her songs including her "U, Fu, Fu, Fu," (う、ふ、ふ、ふ)from 1983.
