Yutaka Kimura Speaks ~ Japanese City Pop Masterpieces 100: Sing Like Talking -- Juu-Ichi Gatsu no Kioku ~Raining Blues (11月の記憶)

(from 4:16)

Number: 040

Lyricist/Composer: Chiaki Fujita and Chikuzen Sato

Arranger: Sing Like Talking

From SLT's 1988 album "Try and Try Again"

In this debut album is the excellent "Raining Blues", a medium-tempo and melodious ballad. From a melody line that has straight-up aspirations for AOR to Sato's(佐藤竹善)fresh vocals, this song is filled with a vivacious charm that can only be found in early SLT. In the pursuit of quality, there is a barrier that awaits both maturity and difficulty. That's why this song is so important.

The above comes from "Disc Collection Japanese City Pop Revised" (2020).
